It's ok, you can be jealous

The game was awesome. AWESOME. It was exciting and fun and close and best of all - Brewers Won!

This is our view. Only better, cause it wasn't though a camera lense. But it was a really amazing time. The first two innings were spent marveling at the idea of being so close to the field. So close to Fielder. I swear I could reach out and cuddle with him.

The Metavante club was alright. They still serve drinks after the 7th inning :) We decided we liked it better with the little people tho and booked it back to our seats in time for the 9th inning.

In time to see Fielder's home run. Loved it!

I love baseball. Love love love baseball. People around me keep trying to talk about football, but it's so hard to listen. I won't care about football until I'm suffering from withdrawl of sports so bad it's the only option left. Maybe it'll be a little different this year. Jammin is going to explain the position and what they're trying to do.... Although I expect it will be "this guy is trying to hold this guy down" "this guy is trying to hold this guy down and then run for this other guy" BORING!

Baseball is the way.

I'm ready for a good day

Last weekend was a fun time. Saturday I got to hang out with my parents. I haven't really gotten to do that in ages. AGES. We drank wine :)

Ben found out at 5:30pm Saturday that he would have to work Sunday. I have issue with the way he handled that, but whatev. I ended up going on the Walk for PKD without him. Just me, his parents and his grandma. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but still. I may have cried a little out of disappointment.

Yesterday, after a really frustrating day at work, I was offered Brewers tickets. So I took them. Not realizing until after that they were for 9 rows behind the dugout. And oh yeah, Metavante guest passes and gold parking too.

Of course, I invited my Oldest Sister first. She's my Brewers inspiration. And KP. That will be easier since she lives in Milwaukee. And Mouse will be going too. Everyone was really excited and about hyperventilated over the phone (me too, every time... that will take it outta ya). Party!

So Brewers game tonight, work tomorrow, Salmon fishing on Thursday, work Friday, weekend. I know this is going to be a really sleepy week, but I don't care. I'm ready for some fun.

Still workin on it

Talk to some people from the past last night. It was strange. Awesome, but completely unexpected. I sent Geoff a text a couple days ago reminding him about a book he had borrowed, lost and never returned. Well, last night he started texting me again. After not talking to him in over a year, I'm guessing. Sad news is he split from another of my friends. They were cute. But they both have their issues I guess.

Also...D called me. To ask about the origins of something we used to say all the time. It was fun. Strange. Sorta ran outta things to say, but what can ya do? It's hard to catch someone up on your life if you haven't talked to them in over a year...

But I'm excited. These people have been friends for a long time and I would really love to talk to both of them regularly. They're my friends for a reason :)

Ok. It's five and I'm off. Margaritas, bike ride and chicken pasta all planned for this evening. In that order!

Lovely boring weekend. It's been so long! And it was enough.

Friday - My cowoker JJ and I walked around all afternoon. I didn't get home until 7:30 or so. And then a girl who was on my softball team this summer called to see if I wanted to see a movie. I haven't seen her in a couple weeks, so I had to go. We saw The Women. No man in the entire movie until the last scene. I don't even think there was a guy extra. Abox (another friend from softball) came over after the movie and we watched Rocky Horror Picture Show. Or at least most of it. I sorta fell asleep.

Saturday - Sat around the house most of the day Saturday, only leaving to eat a delicious breakfast at 10:30 am. Read, watched Sex and the City and Gossip Girl. Yeah. It was awesome.

Sunday - Finished Sex and the City. *sniffle* I'll miss it a lot. But texted Jammin that I really needed to watch an action fight scene/car chase/porno soon after all the chick-flicks I've been viewing this weekend. I hung at my sisters house doing laundry. It was nice. No one was there, so I just chilled out. When she got back, we attempted to make our bread... Yeah, don't know how it turned out yet as I left before we got it into the oven.

Jammin's parents invited us over for dinner. He had family in town from the south. There were a couple discussions that voices were raised over. Abortion and Republicans. I stayed in the kitchen so I didn't get kicked out.

Attention Please. There is a Walk for PKD in Madison next weekend. I will be walking with Jammin and his family. This is a disease that runs in his family and his mother has it. Jammin was tested once, and didn't have it then, but that is no guarantee. Please look at the facts and decide if this is something you wish to help find at least more options. I highly doubt a cure is coming anytime soon, since at the moment it's kidney transplant or die. But that's just why this foundation needs more support.

Fall Festival

Half day today. Yay! I wish it were a little less gloomy out, but this afternoon should still be fun. There's a big party/fest/sale in town this weekend and our boss is going to buy us lunch and turn us loose for the afternoon. My coworker/friend JJ and I have sort of set a tradition of hanging out in the afternoon and visiting various attractions (with occasional drinking). Usually we get in for free cause we rock like that.

In other super exciting news, I got a new backpack! As soon as it arrived in the mail today, I put it on and skipped down the hallway. See why? There isn't a real accurate photo, but it's purple plaid with little stars and is really girly. I represent on the ski hills. Unfortunately, it's also really complicated with little pockets and straps everywhere. Challenge!

As far as this weekend goes...No plans. I'm looking forward to taking time to relax. My dad was talking fishing, but I may go over to my sister's so we can make bread. It just seems like the time for some baking. Gloomy clouds and a chilly wind. My fav!

Awhile

I've decided to write again. If only because I was reading through the archives the other day and couldn't remember half of what happened. So even though my life is not quite as crazy, I'm still going to write. I just wish I had started earlier in the summer, because even though I know I did something practically everyday, I don't remember specifics. Just that it was one busy summer.

I do know that last weekend I went down to JanesVegas and hung out with my sister and KP. We were just going to stay in, play Rock Band and drink a little... but that turned into going out with KP's National Guard people, drinking a lot and then playing Rock Band. I love going out with KP. I wish we had a chance to just sit and hang, but one of the great things is that when we're together, it's like we were never apart. OH! And we let my older sister in on PPFL.

So it's fall and I love it. Fall is awesome. Rainy days to sit and sip cocoa while reading next to a window. My fav. Plus less tourists.

Starting way back in 2006, Jammin and I went on a camping trip with some of his friends from childhood. We went kayaking with some friends of those friends and had a blast (actually Jammin and I bought kayaks the next year - it was so fun). The fofs (friends of friend) were super into kayking, rock climbing and hiking and mentioned buying the place we had gone kayaking. Well, turns out they did! The 27-28th is the opening weekend and last I knew, we were going down there to camp and kayak. I'm super excited! Sure it's going to be cold (hello, fall? nice planning) but it's so hard to start a small business, esp in the middle of a podunk little town in the middle of nowhere that I wanna help anyway I can. So go to the mill in Wonewoc, WI and go paddling. It's fun.

I have to get back to work. This was actually a little more difficult than I remember... but practice makes perfect.

ps. Thank goodness they finally made iTunes a little more pretty.
